High temperature resistant PTFE dust filter bags, Dust filter bags for incinerators, Filter bags for boiler dust. The PTFE dust filter bags we supply are treated with a special PTFE membrane, which helps increase the filtration efficiency up to 99.9%, while reducing the emission dust concentration <20mg/Nm3

The bag body is coated with glue to ensure tight pinholes to reduce dust leakage through pinholes

 What is PTFE membrane?

First developed in the early 1940s by a subsidiary of DuPont® chemicals, PTFE (known by the brand name Teflon®) quickly proved its usefulness in many applications such as coating valves and pipes used to transport highly reactive uranium hexafluoride used in the production of uranium for the Manhattan Project during World War II. Besides its most famous application as a non-stick coating for cookware, PTFE is also used in many industrial and commercial applications where low maintenance and high durability are required such as bearings, gears, etc.

PTFE membrane is a special layer of PTFE material that rejects large and irregularly shaped particles, while allowing other ultra-small particles to pass through. * See “PTFE Coated Surface Filtration Benefits”

PTFE Membrane for Higher Filtration Efficiency?

With its unique physical properties, bag filters with PTFE membranes can outperform almost all other filters in many applications. Among its many useful properties, PTFE is hydrophobic (Good resistance to hydrolysis). In addition, it has a very low coefficient of friction of 0.05 - 0.10 (Sand particles have difficulty sticking to it and are easily removed) and has a high melting point of about 325 ° C

Tighter government regulations for particulate emissions are being implemented. The new ‘’EPA PM2.5’’ standard for particulate matter emissions will present additional challenges for facilities to achieve compliance. Be prepared to meet the challenge by using high efficiency PTFE filter bags in your filtration system

PTFE filter bags from VIFICO can achieve incredible efficiency when operated properly. PTFE filters can easily achieve sub-micron filtration. In some applications, the efficiency is high enough to allow the recirculation of treated air back into the facility. The use of such “Green Technology” will further promote environmentally friendly operations and save on heating costs (cold country).

What are the benefits of surface filtration over depth filtration?

PTFE membrane filters also have a distinct advantage over membraneless filters due to the difference in how they filter out particles. PTFE membraneless filter bags use depth filtration to filter particles. Depth filtration occurs when a layer of dust forms on the outside of the filter fabric and the accumulation of dust particles settles into the depth of the filter fabric. Incoming particles are captured as they travel a winding path through the dust layer and the depth of the filter fabric. Over time, more and more particles become trapped in the filter fabric, resulting in a higher pressure drop and eventually “blinding” the filter, reducing the filter’s lifespan.

However, PTFE membrane filter bags use surface filtration to remove incoming particles. The PTFE membrane acts as the primary filter, collecting all the particles on the surface. This keeps particles from penetrating the filter cloth, which allows for better airflow through the filter cloth and prevents “Blinding”.

In addition, with traditional filter cloths, larger than normal particle emissions occur during start-up and immediately after the cleaning cycle due to the lack of a primary dust layer. With PTFE membrane filter cloth, this problem is largely eliminated.
